Restore ServiceNow sub-prod instance

Request to Restore sub-prod instance backup

For sub-production instances, the “Instance Restore” Service Catalog Item on the Now Support Portal should be used.

Only users with the Customer Admin or Partner Admin roles on Now Support can request the Instance Restore by following these steps:

  1. Log in to Now Portal.
  2. Navigate to Automation Store → Service Catalog
  3. Instance Management → Instance Restore

  4. Choose the source instance
  5. Choose the Desired Date of Backup and select the day from which to restore the instance. After choosing a date, the last 5 records of available backups from that date are shown

If the backup is not listed in the list, select the checkbox "The backup I would like is not listed. Open a Case for Technical Support".

  6. Choose the target instance for restore
  7. The default selection will be the current instance
  8. Or specify another instance as target
  9. Choose the restore date
  10. Click Submit
